Breakfast smoothie with strawberry and watermelon

Breakfast smoothies provides a healthy start for the day. A quick go to meal, keeps everyone refreshed. There are various types of smoothies with numerous health benefits. Strawberry and oatmeal are rich in fiber and helps in weight loss. Strawberries are rich in vitamin C, fiber and minerals. Watermelon is a low-calorie fruit, rich in water content. Watermelon keeps the body hydrated, suppress appetite and improves digestion.




  • Watermelon – 1 1/2 cup
  • Strawberries – 1 cup + 3 for garnish
  • Oatmeal – 2 tbsp
  • Milk – 1/2 cup
  • Yogurt – 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla extract – 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • Honey (optional)


PREPARATION1. In a blender add strawberries, watermelon, oatmeal, milk, yogurt, vanilla extract and        puree until smooth. Add honey if required.

2. Garnish with strawberries and honey.

3. Serve immediately.

  1. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been thinking seriously about having a breakfast smoothie at least once or twice a week. I love changing my meals up a bit. What I especially like about your recipe is that you’ve suggested we add oatmeal to it. Sounds like it’ll satisfy a hungry stomach through lunch. Sweet!
