Cauliflower is a cruciferous vegetable and belongs to Brassicaceae family, which includes broccoli, kale and cabbage. The cruciferous vegetables linked to decreased cancer and heart disease risk. The fibre present in cauliflower helps in weight loss and digestion. This is one of the low carb vegetable that is followed in ketogenic diet. It’s a superfood and loaded with numerous health benefits.
This recipe can be best served with rice/ roti and is a quick win for an appetizer.

- Cauliflower florets – 2 cups
- Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder/ paprika – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/8 tsp
- Curry leaves
Step 1: Cut cauliflower to desired size and add in a bowl of hot water for 2 mins and drain them. Add cumin, coriander, turmeric, red chilli powder, salt in cauliflower and mix everything.
Step 2: Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, curry leaves and cauliflower florets and toss them or stir in medium flame for 3-5 mins.
- Do not over cook the cauliflower.
- You can do the same process in oven.
